Montana’s cooperative network is broader than many people realize.
From electric and telecom co-ops to credit unions, food and agriculture co-ops, housing, retail, and community-based models, cooperatives are part of how Montanans meet shared needs across the state.
The Montana Co-Op Footprint is a working effort by Montana Council of Cooperatives to make that network more visible, more connected, and more accurately represented.
This statewide view highlights the breadth of cooperatives working across Montana. Locations may represent headquarters, main offices, branches, stores, warehouses, hosted locations, virtual statewide presence, or service areas.
Some cooperatives serve broader regions than the point shown.
In addition to the statewide map, MCOC is building regional and sector-based views to help show how cooperatives operate across different parts of Montana and across many parts of the economy.
These maps are intended to make Montana’s cooperative story easier to see, understand, and share.
This map is a living resource. If you know about a cooperative we should add, update, or correct, we would like to hear from you.
